Joy’s journey in the realm of speech pathology began with her graduation from the University of Queensland in 2015, where she earned her Bachelor of Speech Pathology degree. Eager to expand her knowledge and expertise, she furthered her education by pursuing a Masters of Education at Monash University in 2019.
What sets Joy apart is her deep-seated passion for working with children and their families to achieve functional communication skills. She understands the importance of effective communication in everyday life and is committed to empowering her clients to reach their communication goals.
Joy has a particular interest in working with autistic individuals. She recognizes the unique challenges these individuals face and is dedicated to providing tailored therapy and support to help them thrive.
Additionally, Joy has a strong focus on working with families from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. She values diversity and is proficient in adapting therapy approaches to suit the cultural and linguistic needs of her clients.
At our practice, we believe in a holistic approach to therapy, addressing not only the individual’s communication needs but also considering their broader context and environment. We are committed to providing evidence-based interventions in a supportive and nurturing environment.
